A Framework for the Testing and Evaluation of QoS-aware Protocols
In the framework of this project we aim at deploying a platform for the implementation and testing of original mechanisms to support Quality-of-Service in the Windows 2000 kernel. The platform allows to implement algorithms under test as user space modules, by appropriately modifying the kernel so that the system calls that concern those modules are catched and re-directed to the user space. This approach allows to perform a more accurate evaluation of new policies than in a simulation environment.
